		STEEL We order millions of pounds of Special Bar Quality (SBQ) steel every week from a select group of approved mills as the first step to ensuring our customers receive only the highest quality forgings. Raw material is selected to match the capability of the mill with the end use of the product. The chemistry is verified to each heat of steel to ensure it meets customer specifications.
		METALLURGICAL LAB (accredited to ISO 17025) Walker Forge hosts a metallurgical lab which supports both our forging and heat treating operations. Our qualified metallurgical engineers are able to analyze chemical and structural composition, mechanical performance and failures analysis for all materials. Click for more on our metallurgical lab
		DIE SHOP Our dies are manufactured, heat treated and inventoried in house. In the pursuit of higher levels of productivity and increased process repeatability, all new and reworked dies are 100% Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspected. The CMM is also used to qualify the last piece from the die and provide strict process controls to maintain die quality.
		PRESS SHOP 10 press lines ranging from 850 to 4000 tons - making Walker Forge capable of handling a wide range of sizes and requirements.
		HEAT TREATING Heat treating services include: Normalize, anneal, stress relieve and quench & temper Controlled atmosphere furnaces Vacuum processing Certified, on-site metallurgical services
